The climbing wall company OnSite has moved 3 massive granite boulders to the center of Montréal. Urbain bouldering in Montreal is not at its beginnings, but this new innovative development is bold and promising.
Montreal Buildering History
Distance from the crags incited many generation of climbers from Montreal to boulder on urban installations. Before the first indoor facilities were built, some climbers have reported starting on the sport on Montreal buildings. First publicization of that discipline was in 2006 with Antoine Seguin’s documentary Disturban Behaviour.
A few years later, the Bourassa-Moreau brother realized a series of buildering videos. Originally designed for a high-school project, their videos reached a total of over 15 millions of viewer on Vimeo and Facebook.
