Units and language
Checked with app version1.0.63· Last updated
Both are in Profile, then Settings, under Preferences. You can change them at any time.
On a new install, the app starts in French if your phone is in French, and in English if not. It starts in pounds if your phone is set to a region that uses them, and in kilograms otherwise.
The unit
Weight unit has three choices:
- Kilograms (kg)
- Pounds (lbs)
- Newtons (N)
Changing the unit changes how every force and every weight is shown: the gauge, your results, your history, your max strength. It does not change what was measured. Your old results are shown in the new unit.
- 1 kg is about 2.2 lbs, or 9.81 N.
- Most screens show kilograms and pounds with one decimal, and newtons as whole numbers. The gauge of a training hang and the targets of a workout show whole numbers.
One exception: when you build your own workout, a fixed load is always typed in kilograms.
The language
Display language has two choices: English and French.
Changing the language changes:
- the texts of the app (not the names you typed yourself),
- the voice that guides a session, and the list of voices you can choose from,
- the reminders the app sends,
- the way many numbers are written: in French, with a comma as the decimal sign.
On a new phone
The unit and the language are saved in your account. Sign in on the new phone and they come back.
